I have an original Xbox with a bad DVD drive. If you have a spare drive at a reasonable price, feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Where in the world are you? I can help if you are in Australia (so few people are though!)

Edit: Yeah, I should REALLY read the title... sorry my friend!

What's your definition of bad? Belts and lasers can be swapped.

You're in the US, XBOXes are so damn cheap at goodwill etc, test your luck with a donor machine :)

D-oh, thanks for trying. I did think about finding another donor machine but I hate wasting things. As far as the system goes, it won't read DVD's, I've tried cleaning the lens but to no avail. The DVD's spin, I see the laser move into place but it just won't read the disc. :(

Have you tried turning the pot on the laser? You might get a little bit more life out of it. Honestly, it's best parting out a machine then it just sitting there. Loads of Xboxes were produced.

I have an entire 6x2x12 spaced filled with them and a few extras (including the 1.6 prototype I can't find a mate of). Mostly for parts.

I may have an XBox with a working DVD-ROM but dead PSU I could check for but my time is a bit limited. Thankfully I believe I never put the screws back into that XBox.
