Yeah with the whole activation bs it's nearly not worth the time yet. I sold my PTEL vita for the same reason last year.
Nah. I have Nintendo, Sony and Xbox mostly. I have some random Atari dev stuff, I have an Ouya Dev Kit somewhere as well as the dev unlocked GameStick. Yeah, that thing no one else bought, lol. I wouldn't mind branching to Dreamcast but I initially only did Xbox stuff hence the name. So I'm slowly but surely diversifying.
I want a dreamcast dev system for some stuff. Those things used to be everywhere. But that was like 2003
Yeah. Sadly I did not grab one on two separate occasions when I had the chance. Maybe some day but I'll pay dearly for one I'm sure compared to years back. I've been in the shadows of this stuff for well over a decade now.
They do. Red takes the weird dynamite plunger looking carts while the brown resembles the retail or NR Reader.
Wait, so would you be interested in a DVT4 then? I've got one with a dead disc drive, never been opened up. Since you're cool with opening a sealed console you could just buy mine and then replace the drive.
My Xbox "Debug kit" consists of a retail case with a reflashed Chihiro mainboard in it (just the TSOP reflashed with an untouched debug kit boot ROM) - all the official tools (including the recovery disc) work on it with no problems.
That actually sounds pretty awesome. I used to have four Chihiro boards but sold them all off a while ago.
As far as I can see, it behaves identically to a real debug kit - I was a bit concerned about the EEPROM, but it didn't seem to matter - it was either reprogrammed by the recovery disk or it's not used.
Hello XboxSurgeon, I may be interested by your PS3 test kit And by a NPDP reader if you have one (haha).
