Nice one, the Korean versions are looking quite cool with the Digimon stuff.
Well, it depends on how you interpret "playable without Japanese skills". Some people might suggest buying Final Fantasy and play it with an English FAQ but that definitely takes the
flow out of games. So yeah, I won't be nitpicking here, here are my recommendations for fun games that you can enjoy without any Japanese skills and without looking into some FAQs:

    - Puzzle Bobble
    - Rainbow Island
    - Buffers Evolution (didn't play it that much but I guess it is enjoyable without knowing Japanese)
    - Guilty Gear Petit
    - Digimon: Battle Spirits
    - Makaimura
    - Tetris
    - Golden Axe
    - Gunpey (there are several versions of it)
    - Mr. Driller
    - Crazy Climber
    - Judgement Silversword

And there are quite a few more, especially if you're into puzzle games.

Pocket Fighter! That's a fun game. I got it with Final Fantasy 1+2 and a clear blue wonderswan color for £60 at comicon london about 7 years ago.

Add Magical Drop, Beatmania, and the Klonoa game to the list. Also any of the fighting games (e.g. One Piece Grand Battle: Swan Colosseum) should be plenty playable.

Nice pickup for that price. I've got the same (English) Digimon game, and I must say it is terrible. Maybe if I were more into Digimon or had one of the virtual pet things to hook up to the WSC adapter I would be able to get more enjoyment out of it.

If anyone is interested I've created a little site that talk about this good Bandai handheld.
There are a bunch of info which are helpful for gamers and collectors.

Nice. I've bookmarked that so I can have something to read on the way to work tomorrow.

Cool site! Bookmarked for the future :)
I hope you'll write about the wonder borg, and the wonder witch--especially if you have info about some of the more obscure games developed with it.

Yeah, there are a few sections/articles that I would like to add at a latter time like WonderSwan development/history, add ons and more interesting japanese heavy games.
I'm just not sure if/when I will write something.
