wii RVT-R help

    hello! i recently got a Wii RVT-R dev kit and am curious on what exactly this was used for. any information is welcome, thanks!



    p.s. if i sound like an idiot its because i know pretty much nothing whatsoever about Dev kits of any kind. :p

    It is not classed as a dev kit it is a debugging unit.
    They were used by developers to test their games.

    To add to what Logi26 said, you need RVT-R discs and an RVT-R writer to write to the disc in question. Discs are easy to get by, if expensive, but you'll have more issues finding a writer. There was a way to make a specific regular DVD burner model burn RVT-R discs, but I'm not sure if the modified firmware ever got released publicly.

    Is there any way to run either retail games or backups that came from RVT-R Discs?

    Install the HBC and run emulation on it.
