Why did Microsoft use that odd "black sheet" design for the original Xbox controller?

    I remember reading that Enter the Matrix did/was going to. For the Xbox and PS2. Like the severity of the button press determined how quickly you'd go up ladders and stuff.

    It was in a Game Informer, maybe the one with the game on the cover.

    For a pretty tall, young man at about 6'2", maybe. If that's how God created me then so be it. :p Then again, I am double jointed :p

    I have big hands too, but the controller S isn't that much smaller really.

    I mean my brother whos shorter and younger than me has bigger hands and can hold a DS3 fine.

    Metal Gear Solid 3 used the pressure sensitivity a LOT, to the point that the hd rereleases for PS3 and 360 had to have the controls reworked to accomodate for not having the pressure sensitive buttons. MGS2 may have used the pressure sensitivity also, but that one im not sure on. Ive played MGS3 tons, while ive only played MGS2 two or 3 times.

    Dead or Alive Extreme for the original Xbox also took advantage of the analog face buttons.
