Hi guys, hope you can help me. Can someone tell me the number part of the fan inside the Slim PS2 9000x? Or where I can buy one? I've used an air compressor to clean my ps2 but the strong air broke the fan into pieces inside the console!! Never thought it coul broke that way.... -_-"
Since I've found only chinese parts I don't know if they are original or not. I don't wanna buy a crap clone that make more noise or that burns out after 2 minutes. Couldn't find any broken 9000x console here at a cheap price to remove the working fan...

Chinese one will be fine. It's a motor and a piece of plastic.

Do they work like the original one? I mean the original can change speed based on the temperature...
    Thanks Bad_Ad84!

I bought one off AE to replace a Sony fan that ran slightly irregular and thus made a bit of noise. The new one turned out to be even louder. So that's a non-recommendation from me (maybe I was just unlucky, who knows). But still, better than no fan at all, I guess *shrug*

I've found that parts I've had issue with from AE are usually because of terrible packaging and something happened in transit. Complain, get a new one and it's working fine.

But there certainly can be poor ones I guess, I tend to find a seller I've not had issues with and stick to them - most of them that sell console spares stock other parts too.

I've had good stuff from this seller so far:

China parts are good for some things and not for others.. I have ordered ps2 parts from china and they turn out good. so a china one should do fine.

Saying they are bad because the parts come from china is kinda silly IMO.... Because you know, the original parts usually are made in China :p

I'm assuming it's just a sleeve bearing, can't you clean them up to make them quieter??
