    Don't laugh lol.
It's my Half studio/Half Game setup + My star wars Novel Collection

(and my monitor is old. But it looks really good for a 1152x864 native res screen. Plus since I only have an 8600GT in there all games run great at the native res. Although, it's bottle necked a little bit by my PSU)

It is nice, unfortunately unless I use S-video or Component everything looks terribly washed out , dark and blurry :=/

Thats why I have the Cube and SNES hooked up to the other tv. Don't have S-video, and component cables for the cube go for upwards of 70 us $ on ebay.

Has two RGB SCART, a regular SCART, component, plenty of sound inputs.

    Grabbed it off eBay.

I've got tons of people trying to convince me that LCD/plasma are superior but I always argue them off. CRT ARE superior for gaming.

I think this will be my last CRT - it's pretty much perfect. From around 2004 I believe.

It's not too bad- I originally picked it up to use with a widescreen 12" laptop in portrait mode, but the laptop (Lenovo X200) is long sold...
It's capable of doing fullscreen video at close to 30fps, but if you want the best speed, be ready to dedicate a full usb controller to it.

As to other factors, the 710 is a bit bulky and hard to position, the 710S seems to fix a lot of these issues, but in the end, I just needed something with which to monitor target manager and serial / usbhostfs terminals- so it does the job nicely while not obscuring my view- the stand is really absurd on the downside for the base 710, but it's not like there's a vesa standard for 7-8" displays.

A lot of the big CRT`s aer going for peanuts

The Philips 36in one I bought about 5 years ago for £1300 are now available for £30-40....with built in surround sound

For snes/cube etc these are still the best for (crt) only really 360/ps3 for HD LCD`s.

That`s why I still have a few old 14-15in crt,`s in the loft, so when I get the space I can have them all plugged in to run

Still trying to grab one of these cheep though, but don`t appear often......last one i saw on e-bay and was quite local went for £11 but Im missed it!!

    That's horrible! Lol.

A 4:3 21" Trinitron would make a great "retro" TV.
