What is the most unfair, impolite, shittiest and the stupidest forum you've ever been through?

Well i'm reviving this topic and.. when my laptop broke I was seeking urgent help from you guessed it: betaarchive and there was a nice guy but suddenly this happened. I mean really?

 

Facebook groups, Tumblr pages (!), and any general website with a comments section seem to be far worse.

At least you know what to expect with messageboards (typical hierarchy of internet tough guys, nazi mods, snarky basement dwellers, trolls, etc)

 

Never been there, but if it is truly dedicated to just betas, why would you look there for tech support?

 

Your ego gets bruised way way too easily. All he did was state the obvious, & he didn't do it in a rude way or anything. When you want to ask specific questions on a forum, make sure that forum deals with that specific thing.

It's a forum that archives betas & beta builds of Windows OS. It's not a general questions Windows Support forum.

 

Add me to the banned list on NeoGaf. To be honest the totalitarian and extreme left views shared by that forum are pretty scary. It's too bad because a place where gamedevs post and communicate with gamers in an intelligent way is a good idea. It's just poorly done at Gaf.

 

I didn't really see a problem with his response, either. He could have been rude about it and he wasn't. He was just matter of fact, which is something I appreciate.

The answers are always the same, something along the lines of "It's impossible for you, you can't do it. I could do it because I was THAT cool, but you aren't cool like me"

It always seemed like people were more interested in milking their own success rather than wanting to genuinely help other people.
