Shit, makes me wonder why anyone would want to move to Brazil. Surly it's only selected areas of the country that are bad?

It's not everywhere that is bad regarding violence. You just have to keep alert and not look careless.
Don't drive with the windows down and using a nice watch for example.
The bullet-proof car is something to prevent and to make us feel a bit more safe.
It doesn't mean there are gunfights everywhere. I have never seen shots fired.

This thing was too slow for me, so I sold it last year.

This year I bought another Chinese moped. It had a 72cc engine and the top speed was 90km/h.
When it didn't break down it was a really good machine. I sold it because it broke down too often. The parts that broke down were only very poor quality metal parts like the chain, the sprockets, etc. I just didn't want to mess around anymore.

Now I have this. It's a 1998 Yamaha Booster MBK. In the USA it's also known as the Yamaha Zuma.
It has a lot of performance parts and it's super fun too drive. I only wish that it was bigger.
The quality is immediately noticeable compared to the Chinese mopeds.

Galdius is not joking, he is also from Brazil, this country has the biggest number of Bulletproof cars in the world.

Mostly the poor areas, but some people do this in order to avoid an "shot first steal later" or to escape without being injured or killed from an robbery attempt.

Brazil is one of the most violent countries in the world, around the same rate as Mexico, like 25 homicides per 100k people, Venezuela has the double, and Guatemala the triple.

It has the biggest homicide numbers of the world, but that's also thanks to the fact of being one of the most populous countries in the world.

I live in ZL (Zona Leste = East Zone), but I live in the Metro East Zone, its one of the most developed areas in São Paulo city, but also the neighboorhood of the Train East Zone, which is one of the poorest and violent areas in SP, thanks to that place, the East Zone has the bad image of violence and poverty.

Well, I`m from Brazil and I have never seen a bullet proof car before, or even heard of someone driving one.

I don't want to derail this thread but basically it works like this here: every major big city is violent, the rest of Brazil is safe, not Tokyo or Vancouver safe.. but safe.

    Back on topic:
    I recently got a new car a Mitsubishi Pajero TR4 4x4

It's like a Jeep and I'm enjoying passing trough all those bumps without breaking that much again.

Actually the homicide numbers for more developed states (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina and etc) are lower than underdeveloped ones (Pará, Maranhão, Alagoas and etc)

A 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX, my first car (I'm young, have yet to afford a fancy newer one! :p) and a pretty good one at that for the price. 50,000 miles on it and the engine is practically brand new for 4,000 is pretty good. Too bad it is in a body shop at this moment after a kerfuffle that damaged it pretty badly.

Its kin to the 3000GT; both the Stealth and 3000GT were manufactured by Mitsubishi - Nagoya Japan. The Stealth was given more of a muscle car look for Dodge to import to North America. Its hard to tell from the pic, but it does have beefy curves/contours. Three Stealth models were available - each with a different HP engine, top model had twin turbos.

Always liked the Eagle Talon .. in red/black, but its more closely related to the Mitsubishi Eclipse.
