Did the controllers that came with the Net Yaroze set come in this color or were they standard PS1 controllers. If so, it may be from a Net Yaroze set.

I see. Now that I think about it, Japan got a DS1 and analog controller with a color scheme similar to it. Maybe it is one of those? Do the serial and model numbers match your region?

Strange. I wonder where they came from then. Could it be a dev kit?

Considering Playstation controllers are so easily bootlegged. It probably is. The connector seems to have a blank space where 'sony' should be.

Idk, I've gotten weird stuff from thrift stores before. I got 2 SCART cables from a store here in Florida. I've been to a flea market here and saw a Super Famicom game one time too. I think it was Star Fox but I'm not too sure.

I did some looking and the Japanese ones have a gray plug on them.

As Hex said, it could also be a bootleg.

Weird. I wonder what it means? I looked online but the N1158 model number seems to reference to many Sony products ranging from PSUs to the PS1/2 to PS3 memory card adapter.

Are you saying you've never seen a black dual shock controller? Because they do exist.
Supposedly rare, but I'm not convinced https://www.flickr.com/photos/defor/4253044510
    I think I have one.
