    Exactly. Twisted Metal didn't handle like cars. Didn't feel right to me, so V8 felt much better.
    Character and car design was a lot more memorable.

    Wasn't there a webpage somewhere that went in-depth with the Vigilante 8 characters?

    Also, favorite character Dallas 13, robot cowboys, driving hovering cars.

    Boy what a great series. Personally liked the original better than the second, but can't really say anything bad about the second version either. Played the crap out of the original on the N64.

    The more I think about it, the more I realize this game would have been awesome on PSP or PSVita (probably could play it via an emulator on one of those these days?).

    Here's some super early alpha shots of V82nd.
    Most of which still have V8 assets such as weapon colours/styles, wheels (very noticeable on Samson Tow Truck)
    Machine guns attached to car bodies.

    Two more due to attach limit.

    These two have odd "place holder?" PUPs. Also California was a lot more detailed in the Alpha compared to the final release of the game.
    Probably due to optimisation likely. Will have to confirm with the lead programmer at some stage.
