I've been kicking this one around in my head for awhile. We have a handful of Wrestling fans here on Assembler so why not? Lets kick this premise around for a bit.

My pick is Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2. The Undertaker and Classic Kane all in one. Book him as an unstoppable monster. Creepy dry humping,Unique look make him this insane brawler and Pryamid Head would be the perfect Wrestling Gimmick.

Not exactly a video game character, but Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I have no idea why I was thinking of this, but take a relatively small wrestler, have him get beat up by big Heel #1, get angry, the lights go out and he switches places with this huge guy. It's a dumb idea, but not as bad as a wrestling dentist.

Also there's obvious fighting characters, like Wolf from VF, any Luchador (like every franchise has one now), and King (who's based on a luchador priest, that's not made up). I like Faith from Mirrors Edge for her moveset. She could be an awesome high flyer jumping off stuff and everything. And she'd fit in as an anti-authority type character.

Simple. She's already pretty much there. R. Mika from the Street Fighter series.

You can't have someone literally never lose. And throw your talent so hard they blow up...twice!

Well that's enough Japan for me.

Also if they're going to rip off one gimmick, why rip off the Gobbelty Gooker?

Japan doesn't do the sports entertainment side of wrestling that much.

But when they do you get shit like this.

I'm pretty chatty with Evie and Kellie Skater who wrestle there. I've watched a show here and there but don't remember much.

Sometimes video game characters become wrestlers and they're really cool...or not.

Also, I think we can agree that The Miz is basically Johnny Cage without paying Midway/WB any money.

Miz needs to start low blowing people with splits to be Johnny Cage.

Ryuji Ito, a death match wrestler in Japan is more or less Liu Kang. He also represents Japan's entire Mortal Kombat Fanbase.

Glacier was KIND OF awesome, for about 10 minutes. His theme music was cool though.
Could not find a good video with said theme though

We're doing wrestling geeks a great disservice by not mentioning Kenny Omega

That first theme is too obvious. Glacier's second theme was actually pretty bad ass.

It's also hard to find a half way decent recording of.

Karnov would be AWESOME. If he has the Iron Sheik's potty mouth even better.

Unfortunately I don't think Glacier's second theme was ever released, so the only way to hear it is through recordings from actual events.

How about a tag team called Two Crude Dudes?
