on a very yellow console you could do a kind of camo effect by only retrobriting parts of it in a camo design

 

Alright I finally uploaded some pictures from my first retr0brighting attempt.

7$ later at the thrift store i got this:


Here is my Famicom after cleaning, before treatment.

It got noticeably white but somehow the treatment damaged the front metallic red sticker, for some reason. Also, it did not seem to remove much of the yellow that was under the stickers. Its was ugly as hell so i removed them at some point... Maybe was not a good idea but oh well, not like i can read them or anything.
They are still ugly yellow squares at this point.

Losing the stickers is a great way to reduce its value.

 

Yeah but I intend to keep it, and it does not affect its value very much to me.
If you are a reseller, its different.

Also, i actually kept the stickers, if theres a way to fix them back, i wonder.

 

I've never known Retr0brighting to damage the metal badges, though I have seen many Famicoms with bubbling on the front badge, so I think that just might be what happens to them. Retr0bright needs to be able to contact the plastic to remove the yellowing, so that's why the plastic under the sticker was untouched. I'd also recommend building a little foil-lined box like I made, it vastly speeds up the process. Also, wrap the item in cling wrap, if the solution dries out (which it will!) it will spot bleach the plastic!
