Using a NeGcon PS1 controller on PS3

    I've ordered a NeGcon and it'd be nice to use it on my PS3 to play Ridge Racer and Wipeout, rather than getting the PS1 out of the attic.

    Has anyone got a NeGcon controller and a PS1/PS2 to PS3 adapter that they can test out and see if it works?

    Thanks, I watched a couple and they have a pretty complicated set-up going on.

    NeGcon -> PS to Xbox adapter -> Xbox to PS adapter -> PS to USB adapter

    Unclear why a simple PS to USB adapter doesn't work, but one video says it doesn't. The cheap $2 adapter must not handle the NeGcon button mapping correctly..
