$15 is NOT a cash grab. I only posted to show there was no real price difference. I hope your making something in return for the aggravation you will get.

Just tested these games & I have no issues, though Hydro Thunder doesn't work via VGA, but it never has, even though it meant to.

What HDD model/size you using? be helpful to know, as I don't want to spend money on stuff that is not fully compatibly.

I'm just trying out a Transcend 32Gb pen drive with those games to test and so far no crashes, yet Crazy Taxi on the demo has missing textures at random intervals using the pen drive, yet on the HDD it doesn't do that. I put this down to how the data is being streamed (maybe too fast, which is causing the textures to corrupt).

Seagate 500GB portable HD, took the HD out of the enclosure as it had boot issues & used my USB 3.0 inateck enclosure.
(No more boot issues & the issue have been since day one, it's just the enclosure that's incompatible)

4 pages back I link to the enclosure.

Thanks I may take a look at it and remove my existing one and put it in the new enclosure, which works out way cheaper than getting a new drive, since I have another spare sata hdd from a dead laptop.

Going back to the games issue, using the pen drive was fine (nothing crashed after 10 hours) straight with Crazy Taxi, so the issue is with the current hdd i'm using, yet the new fw imo, made it worse, as nearly every game tested has locked up but on the older version I did not encounter such problems. Problem is you cannot downgrade to verify that.

I was all for buying one of these until I read more about how Mnemo handles his business. His pricing is getting insane, too. Weren't they like $160 only a few months ago? What other ODE device/flash cart has warranted a $230 price point? I mean, I get it, supply and demand and competition (although it appears Mnemo may be limiting the supply purposefully). I guess that's why I'll wait for some mass-produced Chinese clone to come through.

^You've got to be kidding me (sell!). If people would stop buying these, Mnemo would be forced to reduce his price and may even have to resort to treating people with respect.

What's definitely not nice is when I'm sending you a PM that I have a unit for you and you don't reply ever. You could've kindly reply to me that you're not interested but instead you're heating up the drama here.

I was one of the first to to order and receive a unit from MNEMO. I paid 243 shipped, via western union. So if anything MNEMO has lowered his price than what it was originally originally sold for. Seems like @superg price is lower and safer with paypal. If you don't like the price then just move on.

You're right, I should've replied. Sorry about that. I was actually ready to buy until I saw some of the things Mnemo is accused of, and has said. I should have said something to you though, it isn't your fault.

This is what I was expecting to pay. Not sure how he has lowered his price. This is from January.

Just an update, we will be getting auto loading of GDI images in the future!
(Basically loading of folders, instead of selecting the .gdi)

In the readme there is a link and instructions as to what to do if GDI's don't work. Download that file and follow the instructions that come with the gdi fix fie

I'm having issues trying the image swap with my usb gdrom v5. My dreamcast is not recognizing that I'm opening the lid. Is there something I need to do for this issue?

Just desolder the original lid switch and solder the switch into the usb gdrom. There isn't much to it. If you are new to soldering, then lookup some videos on youtube on how to desolder. The cheapest home method is flux and desoldering braid. Flux is a requirement.

Where you solder the switch the usb-dgrom board is new and never soldered on before. You should be OK without flux. If you decide to use flux get "no clean" flux. Flux is an acid. If you use anything but "no clean" flux, you should clean off any flux residue or you run the risk of the acid eventually damaging what it is in contact with.

I recommend using a Edsyn Soldapullt hand desoldering pump for desoldering the old switch. I've used the same one to desolder thousands of chip legs. The cheap ones do not last. Soldapullt amazon link

There is only one way to solder the lid switch onto the usb-gdrom. The switch has a plastic prong in addition the the metal leads. The usb-gdrom has a hole for that plastic prong. Switch only fits one wy.
