I have the DC version, which is terrific, and am interested in the USB Host Controller for the 3DO FZ-10

 

I am also trying to find a way to purchase one. Thanks for any info regarding this.

 

So how do I go about ordering one of these usb-gdrom's.

I was quite busy lately (gscartsw), so here's the thing:
We talked with MNEMO and I'll help him to distribute his stuff in the US. He has already shipped me some units and it's gonna be here in a few weeks.
I've got a lot of PMs, please give me some time, first I have to figure out the optimal format (paypal / shipping / packaging / fees etc) and I'll post everything here.
I know there is StoneAgeGamer drama going on thus I ask you to be constructive. I know MNEMO for quite some time, I've ordered from him several times being in different countries, did a group buy here and ordered some stuff for myself - never had any problems. On the other hand I do respect StoneAgeGamer for their retro dedication and I've been buying from them a lot of times.
Just don't want to be involved in any drama. I'll post everything here at my earliest convenience.

Happy he found a new guy. He contacted me about it and think he didn't like my terms of fixing existing issues of 2 clients out of 100+ boards purchased prior to sag.

Hope he can get those firmware issues resolved for many others who are stuck with cdi only and be a actual player in the retro market.

 

Just curious, what issues are you referring too? Some can't play gdi files?

You want to format Fat32 and not Fat.

Also make sure the partition is set to primary, or you will get "No Fat32 File System Found."

 

so all version 5 are internal usb right? mnemo is not producing external usb versions anymore?

Well as a few may know I had a external 2.5" HDD by seagate that was hit or miss with booting & initialising, a few users had the same drive or the 1tb version & had no issues.

Well it seems it's the enclosure was the problem, I switched the enclosure to this one & it's instant boot every time.
(Same HDD & it's the classic enclosure)

I never used this enclosure as it had my SSD that I use with my Xbox One but I changed to a new one for that so gave this a go & glad I did.

Anyhow nothing new just thought I would share.

 

I'm here to Preorder the USB-GDROM Controller internal and I have now subscribed to this thread.

I will be monitoring this thread like a hawk now lol
