I really enjoyed the "old" Tremors movies and while I just found out that the "Tremors 5" movie got released on blu-ray last year, with mixed ratings and even If I was sure it got canceled, I bought it. And I remebered I read something about a Tremors game back in 2004(?)... So I started googling. According to the wikipedia entry : "the game was cancelled before production was finished." PC & PS2 & XBox https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremors_(franchise) Announced in August 2002 for PS2, Xbox, and PC, Tremors was a single-player third person survival-horror action title based on the movies and television series of the same name. Gameplay elements included finding creative methods to avoid walking on the ground, hiding character's body heat signatures, and battling with ranged and melee weapons against various types of Graboids. Though an official reason was never clearly given by the developers or Conspiracy Entertainment, Tremors was quietly cancelled sometime in the summer of 2003 shortly after Swedish production studio Starbreeze AB acquired Rock Solid Studios. Problems with Tremors license and likeness rights are unofficially to blame. http://www.ign.com/games/tremors/ps2-487668 Interview with Christofer Sundberg from early 2003 : http://www.angelfire.com/movies/krccc/rocksolid.html So, how far was it in development ? I contacted someone at Avalanche Studios, whom I got in my fb friendlist. Avalanche Studios got "formed" out of Rock Solid Studios AB back then. And as always, if anybody has any infos, feel free to share. Obscure, I havent found a thread about it here on assembler. ^^ The only image that could be retrieved via "waybackmachine" using : http://www.rocksolidstudios.com/ There even used to be a Shockwave animation : http://www.rocksolidstudios.com/images/tremors.swf Other then that, the game disappeared pretty fast from their site...
