It also said in the auction that it had sound but no video. Does it work? I had a feeling it was something to do with the advanced AV pack that they were giving with it.

What is the address to ship to and how much do the console cleanings cost? Oh and do you have a forklift so you can receive pallets? Kidding aside, nice job on the clean up.

It works, but it's tired. DVD drive is getting there. I'm sure with some hard to read games it won't load, which is probably what he ran into. I put NFS Most Wanted and it booted up, but sometimes took a while to load. I actually didn't even try the advanced AV pack, I hooked up to components when I plugged it in. So it could be the AV pack.

Ha, you don't even need me, that was just a microfiber and some rubbing alcohol (low %), then a dab of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to get the tricky areas.

But the plastic the Xbox uses cleans really well with any buffer wheel (on slow mode, not a lot of pressure either). I'll get a photo once I get a chance to use it.

Nice to see you cleaned up the LT nicely. It must be happy to be with someone who'd take care of it :>

Got some free time today and snatched up a Samsung Drive Ver.B for the Launch Team Xbox.

Console now works great! (Also looks great now that I've cleaned it up as best I could :)

Also picked up another Crystal Xbox, but this time, I noticed something unique. Silly Microsoft quality control doesn't differentiate internal cord colors. Both of these are unopened Crystal Xboxs (Canadian 1.6 versions). Both made 2004-10-04. Yet they both aren't internally exactly the same.

So as you can see the one on the left has a yellow cord plugging into the front plate screen.

While the left one has the white cable in the equivalent area.

I know I'm probably the only person who would notice/care about it, but w.e. Just something to note for anyone buying a crystal, that both colors are normal.

I also got these today, which look so good.

The FRONT_PANEL cables vary, as they most likely from a different batch. It's just like the DVD-ROM power/signal cable. Some were brown and some were yellow.

Makes sense, but still seems silly to me. You think with that someone would have pointed out on the crystal console that the yellow would stick out. Guess not, lol. Probably just MS was trying to pump the last of these babies out since 360 was lurking down the line.

Yakuza and Gran Turismo PS3. (I took a picture of the boxes too, since I know a certain someone on here loves boxes/box art)

    Nice collection!

That Mountain Dew console is ugly as hell - what a horrible colour! lol. Still, a nice item!

Cables would be dealt with in the same way as any items on a production line, no doubt - grab one from a hopper that probably has multiple revisions / sources contained within.

Didn't know it came with a note, probably the first one I've seen that has.

The main problem with these are the DVD-ROM drive, mine gets stuck. Fucking Samsung drives...

Ha, I actually like it a lot actually. It's very American. Bright colors on a big bodied units. We do it to our cars all the time. I can definitely see why people wouldn't like it at all though.

Yea, I didn't know about the note thing either until I got it. Thought it was kind of cool. Feel free to use any pictures for the wiki.

I'm lucky, this console wasn't used all that much and works flawlessly. But my daily beater Xbox is a Halo with a stuck drive. It's definitely annoying, but its part of it's charm.

Thanks I've been updating the the archive at the moment.

Mine wasn't used much either, the band over time just loses it's elasticity.
