Friend of mine is looking to get some of these but all we can find is overpriced Amazon listings. Apparently they were common in San Jose, CA but are no longer. Can anyone help out or point me in the right direction?

Nope, I don't know. But I assumed that those members who live in Japan would be able to tell me. At 2200 yen for 8 that's $36 prior to shipping, still cheaper.

Are they any good? Kind of makes me tempted to hunt some down (I like banana flavored snacks).

Personally I have no idea however my friend was tempted to buy them at the Amazon price. While temptation has yet to migrate to actualization it still says something.

They're pretty good. When I came back from Japan I got some for my Mother In Law because she likes banana flavored snacks too.
