So??? Why would you leave your Saturn in the sun anyway? It also takes a lot longer than an hour.

Most kids don't have luxury hi-fi racks with doors on them. Very often, they have a small room with a bed and a chest of drawers, with a television and games console on top of it. It's going to get the Sun.

I put my PAL Saturns into my oven and cook them on high. They seem to stay black.
Although I have noticed that they run a little... and possibly ignite... :wink-new:
But very nice artists impression. I like the INTERNET stamped across it, gives it a 90s look more than ever.

I was one for those kids but my system never turned yellow. Neither did my SFC.

See, there we go. Bet the Japanese Saturn couldn't survive being cooked like that.

Seems silly to discuss it on twitter like that.

More like "someone is paying X, so thats the price to beat!"

I am sure if someone offered him more, he would sell to that person - judging by the reserves, relisting to try and get more etc.

Dreamcastmaster, thanks for the upload. I agree that the white does look better -- makes it feel less huge.

Sorry for the silence from my end. An avalanche of work has made Super Magnetic a very dull boy. I'm going on vacation next week, but after that (or before time permitting), I think I'm finally going to open the Pluto up and see what's inside. (I held off due to the other auction, but it seems like the dust has settled on that.) Sorry it's taking me so long to get around to it.

My SNES was a perfect shade of grey until I just recently moved house. Now it's yellow after 3 months. I guess the only difference is it's out in the open as opposed to in a cupboard. Hmpf. :moody:

I'm a rookie on this board and almost 3 months late to the party... and have 15 pages to catch up on, but I wanted to say thank you for showing that, it really is awesome to see a piece of SEGA history like that. I'm also sorry to hear about your friend.

$10,000? Didn't he have bids of $30,000+ on eBay?

If there was a $30k bid, it was a fake bid and retracted soon after. Some fake bids were placed to try and see the reserve. The real bids were less than $15,500.

I see. He shouldn't have had such a high reserve, seems he's willing to sell for $10,000. This usually happens though, people seem to rarely get what they ask for and end up dealing at a much lower price.

you set a high reserve to stop anyone winning, then complete the transaction outside of ebay. Nobody wants to pay ebay fees on 15k!!!!
