Throughout Japan there are these places known as "The Pokemon Center" which sell nothing but Pokemon related stuff. Toys, dolls, food, clothes, stationary, collecting cards and games. Basically, if it's got anything to do with Pokemon, this place will sell it. Anyway, my son wanted to visit during the summer holidays so we went today.

Knowing how many of you guys here are in to Pokemon, I took a few sneak shots with the phone for you all.

The place was packed but over half the people were none Japanese!

Crappy digital thing. Sort of like a 100 yen app on a phone but cost 4980 yen
    [IMG]

    Moncolle ????? I'm completely lost.

Those massive Pikachus are pretty expensive.

My son bought this wrist band thing that you attach plastic marbles to. He seems to really like it.

Ah, my favourite Pokemon, Banana lion :p
    [IMG]

    Cards, cards, cards
    [IMG]

    Some Pokemon Chocolates
    [IMG]

A special Pokemon music CD collection available with the new 3DS game pre-order (From what I can gather)

My son won a Pikachu plastic file in the raffle
    [IMG]

Even the capsule machines are all Pokemon.

Yep. Can't say I'm a fan myself but I promised my son I'd take him. Takes about 2 hours drive from my home to Fukuoka city.

They get special edition gameboys that they exclusively sell, too, right?

Well these days it's 3DSs, but yeah, it's the same idea.

Yeah, it was kind of stupid of me to get an Australian Limited Edition Smash Bros. 3DS, because Japanese 3DS games can be found so cheaply sometimes. Then again, all I ever play is Smash :D

You can try ninjas region free loader, but you need cubic ninja. But it tends to freeze when you push the home button when running an out of region game. Really annoying, but possible.

I can't think of another 3DS game I want to play actually, so it doesn't matter. I barely ever even play Smash these days.

I wish there were one of those here. Like, Nintendo has a store in NYC, but NYC is a garbage town, soooo...

Also, where else could you get a plush of Pikachu wearing a Charizard costume?

You could try to ask someone who lives in Japan to pick one up for you
