We'd need to raise almost the same amount as what Legit lost out on.

Are people prepared to raise that much money?

    IF PEOPLE ARE SERIOUS COMMIT

    WE NEED SERIOUS DONATIONS

    WE NEED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS

WE NEED IT ASAP PROBABLY WITHIN 3-4 DAYS

CAN WE DO THIS? CAN WE?

We tried to solicit money for the first cursed disc and people
    were paypaling me $2.50 increments.

We need at least 14 $50 donations in the next two days.

If you are serious, please paypal donations to [IMG]
Be sure to make the title of the paypal message "GEIST / Forum name"

If we don't meet the goal within a week we refund all donations to
geist and the game gets scattered to the winds.

    Donated $50.

If it gets close to the 'deadline' and it looks like we're not going to make the target, I'll try and help with the remaining amount the best I can.

This isn't a Q&A thread its a donate thread hehe and yes... >>here<<

As for where the disc ends up I dunno. DonnyK is quiet - he hasn't responded to my e-mail for about a week. It would be nice to be compensated but for the time being assume it goes to the site museum, but given as we will hopefully get to play it, should it matter? :)

I have some auctions that end tonight and I'll make some calls tomorrow to see what I can come up with, but after losing $1400 + a favour to this game already plus donating £98.07 to the site fundraiser a few days ago it may not be as much as I'd like.

Hopefully the other neighsayers such as Juste will cough up this time around instead of finding flaws that don't exist :p

Again, it isn´t that much but still....same amount as I threw in for the site-hosting-fundraiser, 15$.

(maybe I should mention that I never even heard of that game before I found assemblergames and that I never owned a Dreamcast, although I´m probably going to get one in the next few months...will I be able to play this on a modded Retail Dreamcast?)

Most DC consoles don't even need to be modded to boot burnt games. Also, even if it wont boot up on retail right away, I'm sure there'll be a work around.

Dreamcasts cannot be modded to play anything but imports. Being able to boot a CD-R with a properly formatted image burnt to it is a given unless it is of a very small minority of Dreamcasts that cannot. VERY small minority from what I know of. You almost have to go out of your way to find one really.

I'll be able to donate after I collect a debt owed, but I'm on an extremely limited income until August (extremely appreciative of those that bought Playstations and Cubes) unless I can find a half way decent job (bwhaghaha ditch digger it is).
