4 Blu-Ray purchases in the last two days.

    Singin' in the Rain
    Lost in Translation
    Clerks
    T2 Skynet Edition

I love all 4 of these movies... so much...

What's the deal with the Akira Blu-ray? Is it out of production, now? Everywhere I look (besides that link) I see it going for ridiculous prices. I got mine at Best Buy, but I haven't seen it in an actual store since. It seems bizarre to me that a film like that would go out of production. Surely they'll re-release it at some point. Surely.

I have that too. Tell me if you find away to play the deleted scenes full screen and not in a stupid little box.

These are the last BluRays I got sent over from the states. Wayne's World 1 and 2, both classic comedy films and the Indiana Jones collection. The bonus features BluRay disc has 7 hours of footage! well worth buying for Indiana fans.

Yeah, but try and get the European version if it's compatible with your player because the US release has really shitty packing. The discs slide in and out of a card sleeve which will scratch the disc if you're not careful and you need to hold the disc at the top and bottom resulting in finger prints on the readable side of the disc. The European packing is much better. Quite like my Die Hard DVD set.

Raiders of the lost Ark had a 1 week run in the states on IMAX the week before the Blu Ray set came out and it was pretty epic. I forgot so much about the movie it was like seeing it for the first time again.

Only really BAD Indy is Temple of Doom, I don't think Crystal Skulls was horrible just... Stupid

Some Bluray releases i'm looking forward to...

The Bond movies came out today. Looks like a pretty sweet box set. Hopefully the movies look good, too.
The Universal Classic Monsters Essential Collection comes out next week.
Little Shop of Horrors Oct. 9. CANNOT WAIT.
    Alfred Hitchcock collection.
    E.T.
And of course The Princess Bride.

I better track down some more money...

Finally got around to taking some pictures of my small Blu-ray collection. The one near the top that's difficult to read because of the glare is 12 Monkeys. Admittedly, they're not all great movies, but whatever.

    Some good movies there.

In case anyone can't find the Akira Blu-ray, it's still available in Australia (Madman Entertainment publishes it) and the disk is all regions.

Akira is available just fine in Europe BTW, unfortunately it's not region free.

That looks a lot better, I had actually thought about getting Terminator 1 on BD and now there's a new, better version so no reason not to.
