Ill be dangerous once I learn to keep everything in focus, shaky hands dont help (and a tripod just isnt all that convenient in most cases :p)

I was out taking pictures of the flowers, hoping to catch some bugs and such.

In this first one, I was just taking a picture of a dead flower, waiting for the bee I saw to come back. When I went to review the pictures, I saw a bug was already on it :p

On this one, I saw the dragonfly, but didnt see the spider. Was hard to get this one even partially in focus how I wanted, had to try not to mess up the other flowers (though I do happen to like the blurring on this. I have a closer shot, but I dunno :p)

And yeah, I realize some cropping would help, but Im too lazy right now.

I was at the airport a couple of weeks ago and took some pictures. Nothing too spectacular if you ask me, but I thought I could share some impressions.
All of those are parts of the original picture. Due to my lense being limited to 55mm, I was not able to zoom in closer.

The center picture is very nice. So sharp and clear. In fact it looks almost unreal as if it's from a CG render.

Handy tip about getting the focus right when taking macro shots. Let the camera autofocus, then focus lock (keep the shutter half pressed) and moved back and fore until you have the bit you want in focus. Much quicker than pressing the shutter half a dozen times to get it to lock on it's own.

It's what I do for things like dragonfly photo's, the camera normally locks on the flower, branch, whatever and I just shift myself a little bit to get the dragonfly in focus.

Manual focus is extremely hard when you are trying not to damage the other flowers, so your hands are all twisted

As Borman said, it's more for when you don't have a hand free, although on my 300mm macro lens manual focus is impossible at 300mm.

Unfortunately there was a fence ;-)

I really like that one, maybe because I have a weak spot for anything road-related. ^^

Took some pics for a friend of mine recently. I'm pretty pleased with the way these two turned out.

I don't know what it is, but I don't really like taking pictures of people. Everyday photos are fine but like having someone pose and actually model... it's just seems weird to me.

Something I have always wanted to try, but getting the confidence to ask someone, let alone get them to do what you want (not like that) when they are there is another matter.
