    Hi,

was wondering if someone could tell me what font the Super Nintendo logo is written in and where I can find it...or what I can use to get close to it?

    Thanks.

Its not that exact font I don't think. (Looking at the O throws me off) But most of the other letters are pretty much exact.

    It's alright, it'll do.

Don't need it for a few weeks anyway but just wanted to be prepared!

In future, note that you can use Identifont to identify a font using questions about the characters you know, or you could try Whatfontis to identify a font using a picture. I've found the latter a bit unreliable, though.

    As for game fonts:

Why use a font when you could use vector art of it, though?

Because I need to write something in the style of it, not use the logo itself.

Thanks for those links though, I'll give them a try.

Yeah, that'd make that hard :p lol

No worries. You may have better luck not mentioning that it's italic and imagining it straight.

This is possibly the closest you'll get, although it's a bit on the thick side. That could easily be corrected in Photoshop, though. Try SUPER NINTENDO as the sample.

Will give those a look too. It doesn't have to be perfect, people just have to get the general idea.

I'll have to use photoshop to get the white writing on the red bar so I can always mess with the font then.

And by photoshop I mean Gimp.

Sega fonts are a dime a dozen and are really good.

Just a bump does anyone happen to have Agency FB in italics? I only have bold and regular and can't find it for love nor money.

It appears to be a free font but if there's any legal issue with my request then please let me know.

Alternatively a copy sent to timhugall(at)gmail.com would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Agency FB is from Font Bureau and is not free.

    http://www.fontbureau.com/fonts/AgencyFB/

The family is $675, or you should be able to get a single font for $40 from Myfonts or fonts.com. As such, it should be able to do italics. If not, do it in Photoshop.

Cant you just highlight it and click a I. I used it in school (Agency FB Bold) If you can't do that google up identifont or whatsthatfont and find yourself a nice free similar font because to pay £40 for a pretty plain font (That no doubt has free similar ones) is a bit of a joke.

The GIMP and Paintbrush are not allowing me to do that. I've used perspective to drag it italic but I haven't got all week.

$40 it is, thanks for the info guys.

I'd swear I used to do it in word. Pull up word or the free alternatives of MS word. Make it italic. Print screen pull that up in GIMP and just wand out the background.
