So I have a very ugly copy of Pilotwings already disassembled (took off the Clock, DSP 1 and the 74HCU04). I read an old forum posting from Krikzz (03/2012) stating that the DSP 1 for Pilotwings would not be a suitable donor because it is a LoROM instead of HiROM configuration. Does this mean I need to get a DSP 1 chip from another game, or has something changed in the hardware revision?
Pretty sure the DSP1 is the same in both hi and lo rom games. However, the original pilot wings rom doesnt work on the everdrive as its lo rom, you need a patch to convert it to hirom for it to work.
