So from what I've been hearing and reading, skip SFV unless you're a pretty devoted fan? There seemed to be a bit of hype for this game and it seems to be failing to live up to it.
If you don't mind spending hours in training mode waiting for online matches it's worth getting. If you want single player might want to wait. When doesn't a game underwhelm you? Although when you priase a game I wishlist that shit because it MUST be amazing.
I preordered on PS4 and bought the Chun-Li fight stick. Both are still boxed, currently playing the waiting game before I dive in.
Babies can't do this And there is nothing to beat right now. Just a story mode and way too hard on anything beyond Easy Survival mode.
I think 3rd strike was amazing as well but it turned off a lot of casual players and scared newcomers. Ono has said he is really trying to push new players and casual (although a lack of more single player options sure kills that) players to get involved. Right now i'm taking every character to level 15. Story mode, then easy survival and the rest of upgrades by playing online. You get a much better perspective of every character in my mind the way. Sure I don;t have a great "main" right now but..i have time.
I'm leveling up the characters I'm actually going to use online, Cammy, Mika and Chun li. I might go a few round with Karin in a while. Of Course with Alex dropping Wednesday, I'll be using him for a while.
For now i've settled into Necalli for awhile, some good , some bad..had fun with Alex..I realize this will be sacrilege to say for most of you ...but I like to play him more now, than I did in SFIII. Looks like guile will be the next release..if they do release in order of the pic..ugh long time till Juri. http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2016/...ds-shares-info-latest-winner-stays-broadcast/
I played Alex for a few days ran into the same problem I kept having online, RYU AND KEN OVER AND OVER. I stopped played, picked up Dragon Quest Heroes and Probably won't touch SFV again until the next DLC Character.
