Hi Stuman here A displaced Hoosier in Ohio. Just south of Dayton. I got here because Sony went with a torx with a spike in the middle of the screw. Yeah, weird I know. Haven't been through the site yet. Been building my own pc's since the late 80's. No expensive monsters but enough to get the job done. Well back to fixing the grandsons PS3. Needs a bluray installed and I think I'll just kill the spike

What were the specs for the first PC you built?

Just drill it out, or snap it off, or drill a tiny hole in a cheap torx.

Or just pick up a security screwdriver bit set for cheap (about £4 in the UK for I think a 33 piece set) - or the right security torx driver.

I just used a knife, when I removed those 4 or 5 screws. Didn't put them back in...
