So I finally dumped the bios on my pre-release dreamcast

    Can you compress the bios with winrar & check what the CRC is ?
    eg:
    89F2B1A1 -> Normal DC Bios 1.01d
    2186E0E5 -> devkit Bios 1.011

    ... just to check if there are differences or not with a normal SET5.24 Bios...

    is this one of those American dreamcasts that were really just a Japanese dreamcast modified to work with American games?

    or is this from before the Japanese dreamcast was even out in the market?

    Compare it to a retail one using a hex editor or something, what are the differences?

    Maybe this one has a few extra features... or less features ( maybe no 3d menu or something like that? )

    Hmm, this doesn't match anything I've seen yet. 1.004 and 1.01d are the only retail versions I've seen and I've seen 1.011 but only on Katana units :eek:
