    As the title. SNSP-CPU-01 model.
All wired up as the guides suggest, although I could be being thick. Is there an obvious cause?

Does the LED change the color while pressing reset button. To me it sounds like you have solder the PPU-Pins to Pin3 of the SuperCIC. Pin3 always outputs the cartridge region!

No, the LED stays orange. PPU chips are going to pin 12 of supercic (as pictures show).

Nice and clean work! I haven't seen a mistake on a quick overview.

Does the SuperCIC forward a reset on a short press to the reset button? Does the SuperCIC performs a long reset (~6s) on fast double tabbing the reset button?

I have concluded that the pic is faulty/badly programmed. I programmed it myself on a cheapo USB programmer I got off ebay.
In future I will stay clear of things I do not understand (programming). I have some more 16f630, so I will probably send them to bad Ad84 (if he agrrees of course) to be programmed.

I have just received some newly programmed 16f630 (thanks to bad ad), I installed one into this SNES and I am getting the same result (only works in auto mode). So it is the console that is the problem.
I installed the original supercic from this console onto another SNES and it is working perfectly.

I tried thSuperCIC mod a couple of years ago, it worked, not with all titles I had, however there seemed another issue - one of the games I did try when it got to the auto-save part, just froze instead. Not good.
