Hi all, I dont own a real X68000, but I too admire it's design, technology and games.

One thing I don't understand though. I know Capcom used the X68K for the development of CPS1 games. Yet, CPS1 is somewhat more powerful than X68K.

    Examples are, sprites - X68K: 128 vs CPS1: 256 and background layers: X68K: 2 layers vs CPS1: 3 layers. I know X68K predates CPS1 by about a year (1987 vs 1988). With that said, most of the CPS1 to X68K ports are very spot-on.
However I wonder why Forgotten Worlds (the 1st CPS game) was never ported. That game uses a TON of sprites and I doubt X68K could've done it 100% -- If you look at X68K Final Fight, it looks just right, except there are
fewer baddies on screen at once.

Anyway, enough of that. I just wanted to say how impressed I was of X68K Thunder Blade programed by Sharp/SPS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA31IZTPg14

It's by far the best home version of that Sega Super-Scaler game ever made.

It's also far better than Dempa's port of After Burner II: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA31IZTPg14

The design of the PS4 is a bit reminiscent of the X68k, I think.

But it wasn't a port. It was a remake.

As for the tower design, I prefer much more the one of the super over the XVI. but for pure gaming pleasure, the XVI seems to be the only machine to go.
