I also found Sega Wondermega while doing the packing/cataloging. can't say for sure whether I also have the original box but curious how much the Sega version can fetch? I'm yet to power up but from memory it should be in working order.
Is there anything you don't have that I don't want? Haha! Let me know if you do plan to sell any of these wicked cool items. Wondermega is one chap who is missing from my collection... mainly because there is no shelf space at the moment! (Sorry I don't have a clue what it would be worth!)
The Victor version is a bit rarer and more sought after I think (Sega made some unfortunate color choices for the yellow/green-ish parts). But either version should fetch 150-200 if it's in mint condition. CIB & in nice condition it can go up to 400+.
How about full metal construction lightgun for Playstation? It's bl**dy heavy though - probably not as heavy as the real deal but pretty close... now what on earth do you want the lightgun for game to be that heavy I have no idea...
The Sega version is a lot rarer then the Victor version but they are functionally the same just the boring colour scheme of the buttons and a slightly different bios intro screen. I have rarely seen the Sega Wondermega in japan but have seen several Victor ones, one that was boxed which I snapped up. I picked up my first Wondermega back in the 90s for 50 quid at Notting Hill Music Exchange... and picked one up the Sega one on ebay many years ago for 100 quid but its probably worth a lot more then that now. A boxed one sold on ebay for well over $550 (plus $175 shippnig i seem to remember...). Later Sega Wondermegas were bundled with Wonderdog...
Never heard of one before Thank you for adding to my expansive knowledge of obscure SEGA retro stuff Research shows they shipped super pricey so if you could find enough demand for it I'd post for a high price Good luck
Funny.. there's one in similar condition for $15 buy-it-now on Yahoo Japan. Lol Looks like a really cool lightgun though. I'd consider buying it if I wasn't broke right now
Looks like I'm late to the party but yes, the Sega Wondermega is more rare than the Victor model. I like both colour set ups however the Victor style seems to be more popular which is odd because there are more of them about. As for price, well in Japan a good boxed Sega or Victor moddel will go from 25'000 yen up to 40'000 yen. Some nut jobs try and sell them for 50'000 yen plus!
The Sega variant of the Wonder mega is much rarer than the Victor model and I was always under the impression that is was far more sought after collectors wise than the Victor model.
The Victor model does come with the Wondermega Collection, all the games are available on the Games Can but it also has some CD+G tracks too.
