    Ok guys...hold your shit together.

There is a guy on ebay (Australia) selling Sega service manuals. His page is here

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/robbiega...em&rt=nc&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trksid=p4340.l2562

I am putting this up as I has been done on Sega-16 and SMSPower.

    http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?22905-Sega-repair-manuals-on-eBay

    http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=73640#73640

I have already started to bid on these, The Sega Master System 2 (close to my heart as it was my first console) and the 2 Game Gear ones.

I live in Australia (same as the seller) and I have access to A3 scanners (as well as A1 but lets not get silly).

The aim is to get as many forums as we can on this and let people know that the aim is to get these and SHARE them. Be it you like 8bit, 16bit or Sega Saturn.

I am asking (and I know it is a tall order) that we don't bid against each other for the same goal.

I will be starting up a fund raiser, I am willing to do the lot if it works out that way.

If people are interested please let me know and I will include here in the fund raiser.

    Cheers Pete

Interesting choice of words. Those documents have THE info I've been working on reverse engineering for the past year, and I've spent the past week with diarrhea.

ohhhh sorry, hope you get better soon. My son got the Noro virus not to long ago and spread the "love" so to speak.

I am thinking of setting up 3 fund raisers.

    1/Sega 8Bit
    2/Sega 16Bit
    3/Sega Saturn

so that people can choose to what the donate to.

Yep definitely in for it, sharing is caring after all. :encouragement:
I've got access to a scanner at work for up to A3 as well and am on the same continent.
So how do we do this fundraiser? 8 days... oohhh I'm all tingly!

I will donate $45, to be split across all fundraisers (so $15 each) as I want them all public equally.

I will be setting up a fund raiser when I get home tonight, or tommorrow at the latest. (Using chipin)

I am lead to believe it will simply be a link.

You should make everyone aware that any excess money in the separate fundraisers will be used to help secure the others (lets say 16 bit gets lots of donations and easily secures the docs, but no one barely donates to saturn etc). Otherwise, trying to work out who gets a refund if you go over etc will be a pain and also you might miss out on some, even if you technically have enough money.

Yes have passed this idea on at Sega-16.

I am hoping people will be happy with this.

Damn, if any funds become available to me I'll be helping towards that Saturn manual. Mine's been poorly ill for a while now, been too damn busy to do anything with it. Can't even bring myself to look at it at the moment.

    Oh, and hi everyone.

Let's hope they're acquired by someone willing to share at the very least.

I'm in Melbourne. Surprised someone in Melbourne has something like this. Anyway, see how I go for cash.

Added Sega Saturn fund raising link.

Now the admin at SMSPower is concerned (and rightly so) about ebay snipping. Thoughts on this?

Ebay has a system where you can bid a very high value, but it'll only actually bid the minimum amount needed for you to win. From then it will automatically increase your bid, as others are trying to outbid you, as long as it hits the high value you put in.

So, go all in in the last 15 seconds.

I will refrain from bidding to keep the price down.

Would've bid on the Saturn one, but I see there's already a fundraiser in place.
