Hey, when at game stores, I always see two versions of Sega Saturn games, ex. Daytona USA and Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition I usually buy the Championship editions for the multi-player and extra cars/tracks, etc. However, I always wonder if I am missing something by not getting the original versions, am I? Please chime in. Thanks in advance!!!!
In this case you certainly chose well. CCE had a better framerate, 3D Controller Support, two new courses, and new cars. You'd really have to read the game descriptions from game to game. In some cases a game with a slightly different title may be a completely different game! I recall getting Jurassic Park : Rampage Edition for the Genesis and thinking WHERE IS THE ORIGINAL GAME? .
The original Daytona USA is perhaps the cheapest Saturn game in any region, so you might as well buy it and try it out.
