    We're all searching. :)

There are a some screenshots, a few concept arts, mp3s and gameplay movies released but no GD-image/dump or something at the moment.

I hope someone will get one of those CD/GD's and release it to the public. I would love to play it!

This video shows some in-game activity... Just thinking about the 2 vids that are on youtube; one is an fmv sequence and the other one is just someone running around and empty room, no enemies or interaction.

Perhaps it was only ever a tech demo to get some interest going?

I once knew a guy in an IRC channel that was part of a huge Dreamcast ISO channel. He supposedly was getting together money from a lot of big names(ops) in order to release a supposed disc he had. i don't know if it was true or not though..

Nope, it was a BASAF (can't remember the name of that media company now but Ithink that's right.) CDR that the game was on. I remember the picture.

Yeah, that's the one. I always found their video and audio tapes to be complete crap though. They always jammed or screwed up. TDK was the way to go in the time of tape and even now they're still good in the time of optical media.

Anyway, back on topic, the Castlevania disc that the French online store was selling was on a BASF CD-R not a GDROM.

BASF cd-r were top quality, and usually with green back. never had a problem with my burns on them. and we're talking of the time when cd burners were 2X reading - 1X writing...

I too remember hearing about some chap in France selling Castlevania on CD-R. It all sounds very dodgy to me. I'd like to know the origin of the CD's contents: did the guy (supposedly) get his hands on a GD-R or a Katana HDD?

You reminded me of a spanish guy that said that he had a castlevania GD-R given by a Konami Spain marketing manager or some other crap like that. Here's the link if someone wants to use a translator and laugh a little:

    http://zonaforo.meristation.com/foros/viewtopic.php?t=1094338

First he said he bought it for 4.000 € and then he said it was a gift. He edited and deleted messages as he is a mod there.

Still no photos and nothing to show. Totally fake and he claimed it was real. I think that if you ask him today he would still say that he owns the GD-R.

Any news about a confirmation of a Castlevania-Beta? It's gotten really quiet here so I think there won't be anything existing, right?

I still don't think it was anything more than a tech demo, at best.
