It's just one file. The required files to actually update the firmware aren't included.

it would have been interesting to see a major update released today after I found Jailbreak for iOS 7 (all versions) released as well as last night the release of Gateway 3DS v.2.0b2 and following that will be a complete overhaul.

I wonder if there's any other stuff updated today that I have missed. I have also found that there is a pretty decent custom menu for KRIKzz everdrive64 v.1.01 which I got in the past few days. All these updates are pretty killer, wonder what sd2snes ikari has in store if anything :)

I wonder what items he's referring to when he says "low hanging fruit".

I believe there were a few bugs in the software he needed to fix. As for the golden features SuperFX, SA-1, or Super Gameboy, doesn't seem like it.

BTW, Interesting that a cause for game freezes in his FAQ is "Weak capacitors in your SNES" which I never thought of as a culprit before.

^ I have recapped 3 SNES consoles so far. An older version and 2x1CHIP ones. All of them had leaking smd caps under the heatsink... you could not see the damage until you removed them... crappy smds of the era IMHO

Right well I mentioned it because my SNES has frozen a few times using the SD2SNES. Probably that's the reason!

If the "low hanging fruit" means stuff like Game Genie/Action Replay and some of the fringe stuff (S-DD1, SPC7110, Sufami Turbo, etc.) then that sounds like a decent hold over for the time being.

It looks like there is an update of sorts today, only a pre but there seems to be something.

I see, well you could have just written what it was. Seems to be working OBC-1 support. An odd choice, given that was used on one game, Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge for the SuperScope.

It's not an odd choice. The OBC-1 is a very simple chip compared to all others. Implementing it didn't likely take much time. Also, the game is quite fun if you have the Super Scope. And again, it's probably the least complicated add-on chip of all of them.

Also, if he was able to implement that chip, maybe he'll take on some of the harder, more common ones.
