Scott Weiland RIP

    Heard the news this morning. Scott Weiland, frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed on at age 48. He was found in his tour bus in Bloomington, Minnesota. Cause of death likely to be determined in the forthcoming days. Quite a shame. I listened to Velvet Revolver's first album a ton. Same with STP'a first two albums, Core and Plush.

    Damn, RIP i really dug Velvet Revolver's first album too. crazy man, he was too young to go yet. hope it was natural causes, too many people die from drugs.

    Damn... I automatically thought of the last STP show here in Rio, back in 2010.

    It was such a great performance and he seemed to be fully clean of drugs.

    It doesn't surprise me this happened considering his history and STP is not my top favorite grunge band (That spot is tied between Soundgarden and Alice in Chains) but I really liked Core and Purple and Scott definitely played a big role in their creation. May he rest in peace.
