    These would be fantastic for retro consoles butt hey seem quite cheap leaving me to hionk the quality out of them would be pretty poor. I'd also like to know more about them.

    This question seems to be coming up quite a lot recently. Bottom line is: they won't be any better than your TV's internal scaler. They'll be set up to make an older DVD player look passable on a HD set, so there'll be a lot of ugly visual filtering going on. This may also introduce lag.

    If you want something better than what came inside your TV, fork out quite a bit or don't bother at all.
