Unless there is a way that can improve my chances of getting one. I was told a few years ago that the oval button ones were model 1 and were 20 pin models?
Not all oval buttons were 20pin, only the earlier ones. The majority of USA and PAL model 1 Saturns were indeed 20pin though, except for the ones made in 1996 which were 21pin. Japanese models already had 21pin model 1s made in 1995. If you want to guarantee a 20pin machine, get a hst-3200 Japanese grey Saturn. Those are the launch models and always use 20pin drives. Part of the later hst-3210 grey saturns were also 20pin, but not all.
