I'm impressed if this is 100% accurate.
I'd be impressed with just 30% accuracy.

I will be impressed if this turns out to be anything more than hardware you throw away every 2-3 years for their better model.

These rumors are almost identical to the original 3ds rumors. Funny how that works.

I'd be deeply disappointed if the NX turned out to be some kind of tablet.

So pretty much PS4k territory in terms of specs I wager?

I want controllers!! If this thing is compatible with Wii controllers and the Gamecube adapter, that would be awesome. Plus being a home + mobile console delivering 4k graphics, that would give them a big edge over the competition. I wish them a big success, but I won't buy it at launch like the Wii U.

I can't wait for E3, where Nintendo will show it off and dispel rumors!

    Oh. Right.

But hey, at least the NX is getting a new Zelda as a launch title, which is already a better launch than the 3DS and WiiU.

...but they're gonna show off the WiiU version at E3. And nothing else.

One step forward, two steps back.

Seems it's going to be TGS for the NX. Nintendo is just showing off Zelda.

Stupid DRM really helped MS with the Xbox One at its reveal.

Interesting piece of news, a tablet might be a little too late... Hopefully there is a controller for it. Otherwise might be tempted by the WiiU, the game library is decent enough now.

Having said that it might be the right move for new/younger audiences, who knows?

But what's the point of developing a new tablet when there are already 2 huge platforms to develop for, no way Nintendo would succeed against iOS or Android even with beefy specs.

So true. There is no way Nintendo could even make a dent I the android or iOS scene now. Both are well established and both have a shit load of quality games once you wade through all the crap. And Android has hardware in style, size and at price points to suit everyone.

What could Nintendo add? A new Mario game? A new Zelda game? Oh wow, just what I need.

Lol so true! At least Sega Dreamcast did a better job at supporting and developing games at their fiance troubles before dropping off and NOT have to rely on certain first party IP character's games to have a system seller.

I think Nintendo needs to go back to the basics and utilize a controller like everyone else and put all of the money behind the hardware and just focus on giving us the best software for the hardware they develop. Everything after the GameCube felt gimmicky to me. Although it was innovative the wii and wii u, when was the last time Nintendo had the most powerful console? N64 launch? I haven't bought into a Nintendo console (besides a 3ds) since GameCube mostly because I feel the competition is giving me more for my money as far as the hardware is concerned.

I don't know, I've never felt like Nintendo's lack of power was ever really a problem. Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, SSB, etc. all look fine to me. Quite frankly, I'd rather Nintendo keep doing stuff like Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Star Fox Guard instead of focusing on graphics which I can easily get on my Xbox One (and generally quit caring about after the first 10 minutes or so of the game).

SM 3D World, MK8 and SSB look just fine for me. I can't say that Wii U has bad graphics.
There's one problem though - triggers layout on Wii U gamepad - ZL/ZR are fine but L/R are quite awkward to use.

Computational power is obvious today (as a feature). Long-lasting gameplay, however, is not.
And that's where BigN has excelled in (and survived thanks to).

I own a Wii; and I must admit for the time I play it, I love it. The controller is definitely NOT the limiting factor on the system.

When WiiU was announced, I felt a bit like "WTF" but since I hadnt seen it yet in action, I was still considering for it. Once I saw the size of the controller, it became a no-brainer. No WiiU for me. KThxbye.

But... Nintendo never did create the best hardware, they made the most efficient that fit their budget. The SNES had the advantage of being made of cheap components circa 1990 vs the Genesis' 1987's high grade (and even Sega cut corners on that!)

I think Nintendo can use mobile chips to the best of their advantage, considering how much mobile computing has grown within twelve years. The company may make foolish business decisions, but their hardware design is sound and pretty reliable. They don't want to make model 1 NXs with the same problems as Sony and Microsoft had with their expensive hardware.
