I am speaking with a seller who has in his possession a brand new copy of Rocman X in the box who is looking for £35 (about $58.91) or £45 (about $75.74) Im just wondering how fair of this price is even though its a little more than I should spend regardless Picture is not mine of course EDIT: for clarification the 75 is for with tracking
Not sure tbh. I thought the above version was actually a copy of the original unlicensed game though?
I believe so its an alternate version of Thunder Blast Man I wasn't wondering if the price was fair as if it was new old stock but because of the rariety
No, what I mean is I thought that was not a copy of the original Sachen release of this title, rather a more recently made repro / fake / HK original / whatever, but not an actual Sachen original / made piece. If so £35 would seem a little steep imo, for an original maybe not.
Its not a repro. Im pretty sure Sachen rebranded the game themselves to more resemble Rockman by name and title to make more sells. He also has a sachen 4 in 1 loose with papers here are the other images he sent me
No. Mine plays like a regular GB Mega Man game. Feels like they just took the GB MM games and redid the levels and such.
This one is an unlicensed game made by sachen so its not a hack of one of the official Gameboy megaman games its an alternate version of an already fake game
WAIT NEVER MIND HAHAHA I double checked and it is the thunder blast man hack. My mistake. My box is still very different though.
I got mine in a big trade. I think we valued it around $45 though. My copy was from deadstock too. The the box wasn't mint, but the cart was brand new.
If I remember correctly, the dude I got mine from was selling it to others for around $65. I got mine cheaper since we are friends. But that does look like a more newly released one than the one I have. It would be a pass for me too.
The games are legit, are not reproductions or fakes made by Chinese copies. Both were made by Sachen themselves. The Rocman X, this version seems to have been an international release, marketed to people in Hong Kong, and around the globe (probably Europe as well, possibly America as another market). Seeing that their website is listed on the back, they probably sent this out to anyone living abroad, also why it has the English manual and such. The version Tony has he got from me, which is the Taiwanese (domestic) version. Same game, but different box, and Chinese language. I had grabbed a few of them from another collector buddy of mine for around $30 each, kept one for my collection, and tried to sell the other two or three for around $60 - $70 each, with no success. Of the Sachen GBC releases, this is one of the rarer ones, but with no demand, it is a hard sell. I would pass as well, and feel that $50 shipped would be a fair price. For the other cart, it is one of the 9 4 in 1 Sachen GBC carts. I used to have a lot of these, new old stock, and would sell them for between $12 - $15 each, and they didn't move overly fast. For a loose cart, $10 is the value I would give.
