Since 5 July 2015, Yasutaro Koide was the World's oldest man at 112. He died on 19 January 2016, still aged 112, of heart failure and pneumonia.

His tip for a long life is not to overdo anything, and to avoid alcohol and smoking.

Apparently, another 112 year old takes his place. The World's oldest person is an American woman who is 116.

It's sad to see someone go who has hung in there so long but it is inevitable. But hey the good old Chinese claim they have a woman over 120 year old. Just a shame they are world famous for spouting crap and have no actual proof of her age.
