The actor and comedian Robin Williams has been found dead at home, aged 63. It is believed he may have committed suicide and had been battling depression.

Williams is well known for many films, including Good Morning Vietnam (for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role), Mrs. Doubtfire, Aladdin, Patch Adams, Jumanji, Good Will Hunting and The Dead Poet's Society, to name but a few.

RIP Robin. A huge loss to the entertainment industry. Thank you for so many amazing roles

This is very horrible news, I really enjoyed a LOT of his works. Seriously it is something you just can not fathom. R.I.P. To me he should have left this world much later than this. Rest In Peace Bicentennial Man. But this death also reminds me of a Danish actor (who did not commit suicide, he actually died on stage in 1980). But he drank too, and gave everything to his audience. His name was Dirch Passer, some of you who has seen the (horrible, but none the less for quite some time the only Danish monster film) Reptilicus. Well, Dirch Passer was one of the actors of that old film.

D: damn, really liked that guy. For some reason it also feels to me like Peter Pan died.

He was a large Zelda fan I wonder if Nintendo would do a little tribute and make him a Poe or another NPC in a new game.

I just texted a friend about this movie when we were listing what he had done. It's a great performance by him.

Loved him in so many movies as a kid.

Really, really sad. He was such a great actor and comedian. He had such a great range in acting - he could act in almost any genre. He was so funny, too. Truly shitty news.

Was devastated to hear this. He was one of those rare talents. His role in Moscow on the Hudson always hit a chord with me.

I couldn't believe this when I heard it, poor guy. He made my childhood with Mrs. Doubtfire, I'll really miss him.

    RIP: Robin Williams

I'm sure you all heard about Robin Williams passing yesterday. A tragic loss, one of the funniest guys EVER PERIOD

I thought I should make a post for him here, considering he named his daughter, Zelda. RIP. You brought many people including myself countless laughs.

Fuck depression (suffered with it a few times myself), it annoys me how people can say stuff like "How could he be depressed with all that money?"

    Simple, money doesnt buy happiness

    RIP

Couldn't believe it when i heard this last night. Truly sad. He is in so many movies i enjoy. Good Morning Vietnam for example, have seen it tons of times.

He was also a gamer, even named his daughter Zelda. I remember when i used to play Day of Defeat (this was before Steam even existed) and read an interview where he said he played it as well. It was so bizarre, but also very cool to think that a big hollywood star was playing a HL1 mod.

    R.I.P
Thanks for all those amazing movies.

A coincidence, sure, but a prediction? I don't see anywhere where the topic creator says anything other than he will die soon. If he stated the exact time he would die, then we would have something interesting, but we wouldn't even know the source of such a baseless assertion on an obvious coincidence. Don't disrespect the death of someone who brought joy to many with garbage conspiracies. Even though I didn't really enjoy him at all, I can still respect what his work has done for others.
( Not everyone that disagrees with you is an asshole ;] )

Is very sad, I will always remember him as the only one who can really give live to Popeye, he was the living cartoon on that movie.
