EDIT: A friend has looked into the save data. They informed me that the data is the Force Unleased 2. Feel free to lock the topic as you desire.

It was recently brought to my attention that a second build of Battlefront 3 was put out at some point.

A user shared this pic of their Wii showing save data of this build that is earlier than the 360 one.

According to the user, this build was released when they were young and as such, trying to find it now is impossible as the forum that it was released to has since been shut down (they're offline so I can't ask yet but I will soon for some leads). I will also hopefully get the savedata to see what the deal is on it as well.

I have no other leads and hoped maybe some other people could shed some light? Did anyone else know about this?

Its possible, but doubtful. It would be easy enough to just edit the save file's image and name.

Very possible. Though this would be a bit much of an effort.

Without a doubt a Wii version was in production
It was to debut on 360, PS3 and Wii. What's throwing me here is there's potentially another version that nobody cared about I guess (for Wii so I dont blame anyone here)?

    Interesting...

We do know it was in development, there is code in the leaked Battlefront 3 that points to Wii pointer speeds, etc. I know it would be an effort but look at the recent "leaks" that happen, people put a lot more effort into those leaks, this one is a simple edit by those standards.

Understandable, but then we have to ask "Is there really a reason to "leak" a Wii version?". And judging from their story they said this was a leftover, so well before the 360 build came into the world.

It seems a bit too in line to call it a bluff, but I dont doubt the possibility. That and the people want a later revision, not an earlier one, so that also makes it seem a bit weird.

Overall this brought up a lot of interesting questions.

I dont recall hearing of a leak of the Wii version. The Wii version was being made by essentially a separate team at FRD. And was quite good apparently. There may have been a leftover Wii file in the 360 leak, check there. As there were PS3 leftovers too.

Handheld ports were handled by Rebellion.

I recall seeing Wii files in the build but nothing along the lines of a save data.
The PS3 leftovers probably only got far enough to "does it even boot a game?" hence why there's a lack of that data.

Just looked through all the files that reference "wii" and nothing save data wise is in there. No "data.bin" either.

It just seems like BS to me.

It's perfectly reasonable if it is BS, but things still add up correctly even if it were BS which makes this weirder.

It isn't hard to make a save data for the Wii, I'm certain about this. Is there anyone here knowledgeable about the Wii data that could debunk this?

Yeah, I'm sure about this instead of a Wii build. If anything, he would have shown off some gameplay instead of a savefile's image.
