While I do have alott of files and doing some research here and there, Do you happen to have a copy of XMTAXBOX.XBE ? maybe harness.xbe ? I do had a few fresh new xbox, but all their cache partitions seem realy empty or used. Most of you already know XMTAXBOX.XBE or can use google But harness.xbe seems to be used for testing, some support files are also not in my collection, but well, harness seems the most fun, I think. So, do you have any special Xbox classic xbe files made by MS (or others) and especialy XMTAXBOX.XBE and harness.xbe (or its internal name is test, or harness, in the default.xbe name) please pm, reply or contact me if you agree but like to stay Anon, I would love to share it, unless, your file is kinda private and stuff like that. also info found (if someone still have those pictures?) http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/pictures-from-a-prototype.9419/ harness: xboxtest\testini.ini c:\tdata\a7049955\ dump\harness.xbe
I just got a dvt4 with a variety of samples and test apps on it, I am at work now but will check for those apps and gladly share if I have them...
Test apps are always fun, but as far as I understand the executables I metioned, they get removed by either themselves or are located on the temp files partitions (cache). Harness might be on some test xboxes after manufacturing, maybe retail, XMTAXBOX.XBE should definitly be on a fresh retail xbox, maybe a debug/dev aswell. would be very intresting but im afraid they are gone if a xbox is used. enjoy your DVT4 by the way (your talking about a Devkit right? because if I understand MS internal naming, a dvt4 is either retail or close to final (based on code seen/ mentioned in certain docs.) Enjoy it, also love to see pictures
Ah, yes I am referring to the DVT4 Development Kit. I also have an internal xbl test black debug kit marked as an XB DVT2. I can check that as well for these just in case.
