I'm wondering if anybody here happens to have source video files for prototype content of Rez? DailyRadar used to have at least three, and Gamespot used to have one, from what I've seen. They're on youtube but I don't know how badly youtube has compressed them compared to the originals. Thanks. Youtube links:
At GDC that just passed, there was prototype footage shown for the Rez Infinite panel/reveal There's a vine floating around of the footage where the character used to be a Mech. I can't seem to find it but I know it showed up in my twitter feed. It was a fun thing to see for sure
Yeah, I'm gonna go through and save the prototype footage they showed in the GDC when I can, hoping to archive as much decent quality footage as possible. Even the old trailer is full of prototype content that's earlier than the Underworld beta we got. Not sure I've seen that vine, I'll go look.
If you find a video containing all the prototype footage by all means tell me because I'm actually pissed I didn't go and see that amazing show with FULL BODY TRANCE SUITS
In that GDC video there is a moment where we can see some GDRs careless lying on the floor besides a red Dreamcast. I don't remember seeing that red DC model anywhere: And it's funny they said that what is shown is early Rez footage, so I wonder where that footage of a blond guy with spiky hair will fit in the Rez timeline.
Found right here on the site for "A red Dreamcast". That said, the design is clearly different so something is clearly going on on that one in the photo. As for the video, did you by chance have a link to that video?
Yeah first I thought it was that Seaman edition but it is clearly not it in the picture. Link for the video http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1023187/Classic-Game-Postmortem
I used to run a site dedicated to UGA and Q. Three of the videos in original format are available via archive.org here: http://web.archive.org/web/20080617063343/http://uga-q.net/rez.php
Thank you very much, just the Gamespot video remaining. It appears the very first part of the first video is what the VMU animation is referencing in the beta build we do have.
