Just curious, did you think the same when going from VB3 to VB4?

I cleared my cookies and cache (before that it would show the Parallels landing page all the way until a few days ago unless I used Firefox or went incognito), but I can't get the forum to remember my login. I do have cookies enabled (and it worked on the old site).

    I'm using Chrome 40.0.2214.93 m on Windows 7

I will probably move the forums from the https directory to the http directory as https seems to be unfathomably irregular.

I cleared my cookies for the site today for the first time, so I'll let you know if the problems persist for me, but they did persist prior to clearing cookies.

A fundraiser sounds like a good idea to me, since most everyone wants the site to run as smoothly as you do, ASSEMbler. Plus, it beats making you pay for it all. I'm sure you (or at least your wallet) can agree with that much.

Also, before I forget, I've got a minor problem (that is probably a vBulletin limitation and not a bug, but I thought I'd report it just in case). You can see me shitty new signature - it's kind of a mess. Trying to right-align anything bumps it down to the next line (same happens if I left-align something on the left, then right-align the rest i.e. that's no solution). There doesn't seem to be a way around this, and because of the way it is parsed, you can't just hold down the spacebar for five hours (although you probably can if you use the full WYSIWYG editor, which I turned off because it was annoying me. EDIT: nope, WYSIWYG isn't a solution either).

You may already be aware, but according to ASSEMbler, VB5 is built from scratch on Java, and no one likes it.

So I just noticed something weird. When I first visit the forum after closing the browser, it shows that I'm not logged in. Then, once I click on any of the subforums or posts, it says that I am logged in.

Here's a new one: Got a PM, didn't get an email about it, and I have PM emails on.

Yep, it's been happening to all of us. ASSEMbler is blaming HTTPS.

Right, it has to deal with how vbulletin handles cookies.

    Terribly, that is.

EDIT: Surprise, surprise: it's still a problem.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, might just be my browser (Firefox). But where there used to be a picture and registration link in the bottom right, now there's no image but clicking the mouse in the same area goes to the registration page. I know it's only a problem when not logged in, but thought I'd mention anyway.

I'll have to take the site down to fix it, I will probably do it in a few days in the early morning.

Something I thought I'd mention: when I autofill my username and password (in Safari), I have to click into the password box, then back into the username box to get the autofill option, then into the password box again to fill my password in. Now, this COULD just be another case of Apple introducing some ridiculous bugs once again, but I thought I'd mention it in case it wasn't my end that was problematic (especially since I don't remember this ever happening before - granted, I didn't have to keep logging in every time I came to the site before, either).

A temporary fix for right now is just to click on anything to log in.

Oh, it remembers you even when the front page doesn't, even between sessions? I didn't realise. Stupid me.

Why do we appear to be missing something when we click some user names? Other users just have items (e.g. website) left off the list, with no gap.
