Hi on my journey to get my hands on unreleased Saturn games, i was now sent the unreleased PSX (PlayStation 1) game Raw Pursuit. As i´m not very interested in PSX gaming, i didn´t have a clue, if this game was leaked yet (nothing found through google)... Maybe i get my hands on Dream Team Basketball (PSX) too. Does anyone have infos for me about these 2 games and if someone´s interested in getting them, if they were not leaked yet? And how the f... do i create an image file, which runs in ePSXe? Out of this:
Tried it with imgburn, didn´t worked. Read something about Subchannel files and mdf/mdx files, what about that?
Mdf/Mds are an type of archive file that is used by Alcohol, you can download the 120% trial and try to make it.
Yes we are interested. Why don't you upload the files and maybe one of our experts can get it running? Regards.
If you're touting for a sale, you have to create a sales thread with a validation photo and a set price. Otherwise, take it to eBay. Does the person who sent you it know you're selling it? It could be the language barrier, but it sounds like someone gave you the files and you want to burn and sell it.
As i paid a lot of money myself for Saturn protos and unreleased stuff - i´m doing the same now, as PS1 stuff didn´t bother me... And yes, one of the makers of this game(s) gave me the files for whatever i do with it...
That's not a problem, of course! However, if you want to sell here, you'll have to create a for sale thread with a fixed price.
Imgburn can at best only do raw bin/cue. I think it might read subchannel info for the pregaps and store them in the cue, but that part is drive dependant and it does not save other subcodes. mdf/mds is the format that Alcohol 120% uses, and it supports subcodes but does not always include it. Other formats are CDI (for Discjuggler), CCD (for CloneCD), and NRG (for Nero) that all support subcodes but they are not necessarily part of the image. I prefer CloneCD since it is backwards compatible with the older bin/cue format (as long as the cuesheet allows for, anyway). And there is an obscure Japanese app called CD Manipulator that is completely free, open source, and allows you to create CCD dumps (the files have CDM extension but iirc they are identical to CCD in all but the extension). CDRWin4 (not the later ones) has an option to dump in CD+G mode which is a bin/cue with embedded subcode. But I have never seen it used in the wild... it does work though, as long as your drive supports it. It is also an old, non-free app that isn't available anymore, and the later CDRWin versions are from a completely different developer who reused the name. Keep in mind however that not all drives can rip subcodes. Some cannot rip them, some can only rip parts of the subcodes, some will fake them (and some software will also fake them or just plain GENERATE them). And subcodes have no data protection, so even if you get a hardware+software setup that does it all, you may still get subcodes with some errors in them - they are like that on every disc out of the factory. tl;dr: just use CloneCD.
