So how rare are Sega CD dev kits and the N64 DD? I don't develop but I'm looking for some dev consoles. Of any kind really. But especially a sega cd. I want to use them in a series I do. Seems like this is going to be quite the search. Or am I looking in the wrong places?

There are a few SegaCD/MegaCD units around, and a bit more 64DD units, which have shown up boxed in the past. Offer the right amount, and they come out of hiding relatively easily.

Rare? Sega Cd over 64dd, but the sega cd need many many parts to work.

dd needs some easier (mind you expensive) parts.

wait is that 'the' Nathan Barnatt? and yeah, I'd say Sega CD dev hardware shows up less frequently than 64DD, you'll be dropping a pretty penny on either

You should go ask a Sega scientist if they have one! joke, joke.

There are a few DD's on ebay right now. They're asking pretty big bucks. I guess you'll have to pay up if you really want one.

A DD usually goes for around the $900-$1,300 mark... They are very hard to come by now.
