So I recently got a hold of a PVM and I wish I had sooner, the picture is amazing. I find myself putting SNK fighters on and just watching the demos play so I can stare at the screen and marvel at the colors and scan lines.

My question is, on a mid-range 32" LCD monitor can adding a Framemiester produce a comparable picture? If I were to place the PVM right next to the LCD with Framemiester and play the same game, would the LCD be a disappointment? I've read plenty of reviews that swear by it, I'd just like to hear some opinions from people who own them here.

Kuririn, on and LCD its not as good as a plasma IMHO the Plasma gives a tube TV feel with the scanlines and works great. the LCD leaves something to be desired. and that's totally personal preference.

Depends upon the LCD screen being used. Some are crap some are good. My Framemeister looks much better on my Toshiba than it does on my Sharp screen for example.

Let's just say this: a Framemeister playing a Famicom with an RGBSCART on a great LED/LCD screen is comparable to playing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in digitally remastered FLAC format on an amazing sound system. Playing your RGBSCART modded Famicom on a PVM or other awesome CRT is the equivalent of playing it on the best Hi-Fi system on the best record player money can buy. Short answer, both are awesome but offer different experiences.
